As a current senior at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, majoring in Journalism and Media Studies with a specialization in Sports Journalism, I am part of multiple outlets that enable me to enhance my skills and gain valuable experience in the sports media field. I have also taken classes such as “Sports Writing and Reporting” and “Sports Broadcasting” to further my knowledge of the field of journalism.
Team Member | May 2021 – Present
I have been a front-of-house team member at my local Chick-fil-A since May 2021. In this role, I am responsible for a wide range of tasks. This can include bagging orders, taking orders, preparing beverages for orders, and delivering orders to customers in the Drive-Thru. In this role, I must maintain a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service and professionalism. I have learned how to multitask and communicate effectively with others.
Current Head Sports Editor (Former Associate Sports Editor/Correspondent | January 2023 – Present
Since February 2025, I have been the Head Sports Editor of The Daily Targum, Rutgers student newspaper. I lead the sports desk and oversee coverage across multiple sports, assigning stories and editing articles for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to AP Style. Alongside managing the section, I report on my own beat, covering games, press conferences, and feature stories. I also provide writers with feedback and collaborate with my fellow associate sports editor to ensure the sports desk operates smoothly.
Sports Broadcaster and Producer | March 2023 – Present
In my role at 88.7 WRSU-FM, Rutgers’ student radio station, I have produced games as a board operator and provided play-by-play commentary and color commentary for Rutgers sports, including soccer, basketball, lacrosse, and baseball. I used to run my own show called “Soccer Stories Today”, where I was responsible for planning out the show beforehand.
Senior Writer | November 2023 – Present
I joined Hudson River Blue, a website that covers New York City Football Club, in July 2023. Since then, I have regularly attended NYCFC home games as a member of the press, participated in post-game press conferences, and interviewed players, while also writing game recaps and instant reaction articles under strict deadlines. I also write analysis articles about specific players or about the team as a whole.
This past summer, I had the opportunity to cover the FIFA Club World Cup, attending six games as a credentialed media member at MetLife Stadium. I covered games involving major European clubs, such as Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and Chelsea FC.
